QUBE University Course Offerings

We offer scheduled courses throughout the year in our own training facility in Carlsbad, CA, periodically on the West Coast, or by special arrangement at your site. Click on the course title for which you desire information.

Course Outlines

The QUBE Clinic

Regional classes geared toward getting a good understanding of the basics of QUBE in a concentrated format. We have taken the basics of the System Administration, Sales Order Processing, Purchase Order Processing, and Inventory Control courses to present each class in a one-day format instead of the full two-day class. Pick and choose which days you will attend or attend all four.

System Administration - Understanding system files, configuring for individual users, system security, handling updates, data file maintenance.

Sales Order Processing - Setting up customer master file, pricing, creating sales orders, working with your sales order backlog, invoicing procedures.

Inventory Control - Detailed review of item master file, understanding inventory locations, setting up BOMs, inventory transaction processing, cycle counting.

Purchase Order Processing - Setting up vendor master file, creating requisitions and POs, basic material requirements planning, receiving material, dealing with outwork.

Production Scheduling

A THREE-day class covering basic production scheduling theory and specific use of QUBE production scheduling functions. Day One will cover the following topics: theories of sales and production planning, master scheduling concepts, resource requirements planning, and managing your business using production plans and the master schedule. Days Two and Three will cover specific software functionality and the steps necessary to complete the scheduling process using QUBE. Recommended for Operations Management and scheduling personnel.

System Administration

A TWO-day class covering topics critical to all users such as data file maintenance and troubleshooting, upgrade procedures, utilities, undocumented system features, and new functions in version 7.3.7. Recommended for all system administrators.

Inventory Control

A two-day class combining basic Inventory Theory with specific use of the inventory control functions in QUBE™. Topics covered include understanding the item master file, inventory locations, and system set-up defaults. Also covered are cycle counting, monitoring your inventory, inventory transactions, etc. Recommended for individuals directly involved in stockroom management, material handling or planning.

Lot and Batch Tracking

A one-day course covering specific use of QUBE's cradle-to-grave lot and batch traceability in the areas of order entry, purchasing, inventory control, and production scheduling.

Cost Accounting

A TWO-day class designed to cover QUBE functions involving inventory accounting. Topics covered include: Standard Cost maintenance, Current Cost Maintenance, Inventory Transaction Processing, Estimated Accounts Payable, BOM roll-up, Labor Costs, QUBE Accounting functions, and links to Great Plains Dynamics. Recommended for Inventory Control and Accounting personnel.

Purchasing with Advanced Purchasing Management

A TWO-day class covering the basics of the Purchasing Module as well as the advanced features included in this package of Qualified Vendors and Vendor Performance Grading,Quality Inspection, and Manufacturer's Part Numbers.

Cost for each day is 4 credits per student. Credits are priced as follows:

Individual credits - $130/each

10-pack of credits - $1150

30-pack of credits - $2800

All credits must be paid for before class begins. A laptop is required for class (two students may share one). Rentals are available.
